As the sport of skateboarding continues to expand, the ramps used for competitions keep putting more and more air into jumps, right into mega ramps of events such as the Dew Tour.

Skate legend Bob Burnquist, in Portland for the Dew Tour at the Rose Garden, talked about skate ramps with oregonsports writer Jeremy Lloyd.

“I’m here because vert is still challenging for me. It has those challenging combinations, and it’s a whole other rhythm, and I enjoy it still a whole lot,” Burnquist said. “But mega is definitely something that I ride a lot more. I love learning new tricks, just constantly progressing and learning something new.”
