Stanford upends Ducks in Eugene, 78-65

The Wonder Women of the University of Oregon went down in flames Sunday against the Stanford Cardinal at Matthew Knight Arena.

After a solid first half, the sixth-ranked Ducks were outscored 45-24 and lost 78-65 to the No. 24 Cardinal to drop into a first-place tie atop the Pacific 12 Conference standings with Stanford at 10-2.

Oregon dropped to 21-4 overall with its first home loss of the season.

Sabrina Ionescu scored 22 points to lead the Ducks, but Brittany McPhee tossed in 33 points for Stanford, including 31 in the second half.

The win was the sixth-straight for Stanford over Oregon, and is the lone regular-season meeting between the teams.

Stanford swept its trip through Oregon having beaten Oregon State 60-57 Friday.
